| Project description | :Phu Quoc Petroleum Operating Company (Phu Quoc POC), a subsidiary of Vietnam National Petroleum Corporation, is the operator of the Block B gas project through a Production Sharing Contract (PSC) with partners PTTEP (Thailand) and Mitsui (Japan). This is a key national project, located offshore in the Vietnam-Malaysia maritime border area, and is currently in the investment decision approval (FID) phase. The project aims to supply environmentally friendly natural gas, with an output of billions of cubic meters per year, to thermal power plants in O Mon, Ca Mau, and Kien Giang (now An Giang province), contributing to ensuring national energy security and meeting Vietnam's growing energy needs over the project's lifespan of more than 20 years. |
