Customer: Power Engineering Consulting Joint Stock Company 2 (PECC2)
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Power Engineering Consulting Joint Stock Company 2 (PECC2) is one of the main contractors participating in the Vinh Tan 4 Thermal Power Plant Expansion Project. The project is implemented in Tuy Phong District, Binh Thuan Province, and is a key energy project under Vietnam’s Power Development Plan VII.
The project comprises a single 600 MW generating unit, with a total investment of approximately US$1.2 billion (equivalent to VND 24,000 billion), and is being implemented under the EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) general contractor model.
A highlight of the project is the application of modern technologies to improve production efficiency while protecting the environment, including a NOx removal system (SCR), electrostatic precipitator (ESP), and SOx removal using seawater.
Given the complexity of a heavy industrial project involving multiple international contractors, the application of Primavera P6 played a crucial role in managing the design, equipment supply, and construction timeline throughout the 45-month implementation period, ensuring the project was completed on schedule.
ONEBIM RESPONSIBILITIES:
– Software Licensing & System Setup: Deliver official Primavera P6 software licenses and configure a centralized data infrastructure to synchronize project management processes.
– Training & Technology Transfer: Organize in-depth training programs for engineers and management staff, ensuring the ability to operate the system effectively.
– Practical Technical Support: Work alongside the project management team in digitizing reporting data, monitoring construction progress, and enhancing transparency throughout project implementation.
